Martin Korth propose la version 2.8f de No$gba, excellent (probablement le meilleur) émulateur nintendo DS et Game Boy Advance pour Windows et DOS.

[3DS] Fy WoD! 3DS v1.0[Edit]

nop90 n'en finit plus avec ses portages SDL, il propose cette fois-ci la version 1.0 de "Fy WoD! 3DS", portage du jeu de course "Fy WoD!" pour la nintendo 2DS/3DS.

On the galactic map you have to clear all maps on the way to the "Champion" - Map( or reach the million totalpoints ). To complete a map you have to fullfill a certain level in all categories. Maps get more difficult the farer you step on.
In the map itself you have to find your way to the target destination as fast as possible, collect coins, not get killed and don't run out of fuel. Fuel is important: The less you have, the less you weight and the faster you accelerate. The slow motion (activate with "L") costs you tons of it.

The rest is explained in the game or so easy to see, that I would waste my words on it.

The compiled game (3dsx and CIA formats) is released on github (https://github.com/nop90/FyWod-3ds/releases).

Installation

In the zip there is a folder with the 3dsx and the smdh files inside, to be used with a homebrew launcher

The CIA file is to be installed with FBI. below there is a QR code to download the cia from FBI.

The game creates a FyWod subfolder inside the 3ds folder if doesn't exist. Here will be stored the gamesaves.

All the resources are included in the executable using romfs.

[NDS] melonDS v0.4[Edit]

How to use

melonDS requires BIOS/firmware dumps from a DS. You can dump them with the following dumper.

The files must be placed in the same directory as the melonDS executable, as follows:

* bios7.bin -- ARM7 BIOS, 16KB
* bios9.bin -- ARM9 BIOS, 4KB
* firmware.bin -- firmware, 256KB or 512KB

Note: the DS-mode firmware in the 3DS isn't bootable. It only contains the bare minimum required to run DS games. Be sure to enable direct game boot when using a firmware dump from a 3DS.

Settings

Emulation: settings related to emulation. For now it lets you enable direct game boot (directly runs the game instead of going through the firmware) and the threaded 3D renderer.

There's also a wifi-related setting (which only ended up there because I'm lazy and I need to redo the UI). You should try toggling it if you have trouble getting multiplayer working.

Input: allows you to configure keyboard and joystick input. You can change a mapping by clicking the corresponding entry, then pressing a keyboard key or joystick button. For now, joystick input uses the first joystick available if multiple joysticks are plugged.

If your game fails to save

Check the size of the savefile. melonDS can, in some circumstances, misdetect the save memory type.

Save memory type detection is done only when no existing savefile is present.

If you provide an existing savefile with the correct size, melonDS will use the correct save memory type and saving should work properly.

melonDS 0.4 is out!

The highlights of this release are several 2D and 3D fixes and improvements, but also, working wifi multiplayer.

Notes to v0.1 build of the 3ds port:

The most recent source code version available on the net is v0.8 that is buggy an incomplete (no Highscore saving), I'm looking for v0.9 sources, that should e yhe latest available open source version, but can't find it anywhere (all the link I found are dead).

This game evolved in 1941 Deluxe Edition, that seems to be a closed source project available for several platform as Shareware.

The 1941 mod is designed for v0.9. The first level seems to work fine (the engine skips unimplemented enemy waves) but it could crash/freeze at any point.

The source code of my port is on my github (https://github.com/nop90/KETM-3ds).
The compiled game (3dsx and CIA formats) is released on github (https://github.com/nop90/KETM-3ds/releases).

Installation

In the zip there is a folder with the 3dsx and the smdh files inside, to be used with a homebrew launcher

The CIA file is to be installed with FBI. below there is a QR code to download the cia from FBI.

All the resources are included in the executable using romfs.

The GUI works on Rosalina very well, aside from some flickering. Though, we need to add support for it to load .3dsx files. That asshole at Nintendo Homebrew called me an idiot for not using hb menu 2.0, because "Its updated". He might just be one of those Luma fan boys, who says "All other CFW are shit. Use Luma". He also doesn't understand that not everything has to be "official" for it to be good, but oh well. Loading CIA's doesn't work as well, so we need to fix that, though this is only a GridLauncher 2.0 specific bug.

Also, to avoid above: If anyone is going to say "OH! Use HBL 2.0 if you don't, you fucking suck", just click off this thread, because the more this will be said, the more I will not do it. (Oh, and BTW, Zoogie's post was made before this announcement)

Another contribution again. This time, it's a port of Exophase's Temper (TurboGrafx/PC-Engine) emulator to the old 3DS and old 2DS. Despite all the optimisations Exophase did to run Temper on a portable device, the old 3DS is still too underpowered. So this port heavily relies on the 3DS's 3D GPU hardware to achieve 60 FPS (or close to 60 with frame skips). Since we are using the hardware, some games that utilise special palette effects may not work so well.

This emulator bears the same user interface as VirtuaNES for 3DS and Snes9x for 3DS. It should run better on the New 3DS as usual (but I haven't really tried running it on the New 3DS yet).


Homebrew Launcher:

Copy temperpce_3ds.3dsx, temperpce_3ds.smdh and temperpce_3ds_top.png into the /3ds/temperpce_3ds folder on your SD card.
Place your ROMs inside any folder.
Go to your Homebrew Launcher (either via Cubic Ninja, Soundhax or other entry points) and launch the temperpce_3ds emulator.

CIA Version:

Use your favorite CIA installer to install temperpce_3ds.cia into your CFW. You can also use FBI to download from TitleDB.
Place your ROMs inside any folder.
Copy temperpce_3ds_top.png to ROOT of your SD card.
Exit your CIA installer and go to your CFW's home screen to launch the app.


CD ROM BIOS

If you have the CD ROM BIOS, place them in the /3ds/temperpce_3ds/syscards folder.
They must be named:

syscard1.pce (version 1),
syscard2.pce (version 2),
syscard3.pce (version 3), or
games_express.pce (for Games Express).
You can have all four in the /3ds/temperpce_3ds/syscards folder. In the configuration, you can choose which ROM version you want to use.

Other Stuff

What's Supported:

1. HuCard, CD-ROM, Super CD-ROM games - Castlevania Rondo of Blood, Gradius 2. (CD-audio is a little "peanut butter" skippy atm, will fix when time allows)
2. Idle Loop Skip (Most games will not need this, but you can try to enable it if games run a little slow. Warning: Some games will freeze if you enable this!).

What's Not Supported Yet:

1. SuperGrafx games.
2. Cheats (seems there never was cheating software like AR or GG for TurboGrafx)

Known Bugs

1. A small number of games lock up the entire emulator (requiring a re-start). Will look into it when time allows.
2. As mentioned, CD-audio is skippy, although still bearable.
3. This release is still pretty raw, and will be working out the kinks and bugs.

Fixed frame rate issues with CD-ROM games speeding up to 100-200 FPS
Fixed skipping CD music
Improved overall CD/ADPCM synchronization.
Added option to select optimized CPU core (less compatible)

zoogie propose "DSP1", utilitaire permettant de dumper le DSP afin d'obtenir du son dans la plupart des homebrews, une alternative à DSP Dump mais au format CIA.
