[Wii] Wii64 beta 1.2[Edit]

Posté par: Cid2Mizard

FIX94 propose la version beta 1.2 de l'émulateur Nintendo 64 pour la Wii/Gamecube, "Wii64" pour la nintendo Wii.

Didnt really do anything with the wii64 beta 1.2 in the last week so I just pushed up a version to at least have a build up.
compiled both rice and gln64 versions are included in that, so you can play around with it.
oh, also to use sync by VI, open your sd:/wii64/settings.cfg in some editor and set "LimitVIs" to 1, to use sync by audio instead, set it to 0. By default I have it compiled right now to sync by audio, to me that just seems like the better choice

based on official repo plus these changes:
-support for wiiu gamepad in wii vc mode
-option to toggle nand pagefile
-added back in sync to audio when VI limit is set to 0
-added deadzone for classic controllers and wiiu pro controllers
-using ios58 and can be used as a wiiflow plugin

[Wii] Visual Controller Test v0.91[Edit]

Posté par: Cid2Mizard

Mr. Reaper propose la version 0.91 de "Visual Controller Test", utilitaire permettant de tester les touches de tous les types de contrôleurs sur nintendo Wii.

If you like pressing buttons, then this app is for you!!!

I have a flaky Gamecube controller and I wanted an easy way to test it. I didn't really like the other Gamecube controller testing homebrew I found, because it was all text-based, so I decided to make my own.

I haven't messed with making Wii Homebrew in such a long time, but I threw this Visual Controller Test together in a day.

But then I was in a coding mood, so I added in every other peripheral I own.

Maybe others will also find this useful.

Generic Nunchuks can be weird. I have a couple that report as malfunctioning Classic Controllers, one that doesn't detect at all, and one that seems to work but reports ranges higher than a standard nunchuk.

And drums seem to report as a guitar that mostly works but has some errant input (no clue how to properly read drums; good documentation is nonexistent).

Version History

0.01 = Initial Release.

0.02 = Made the visual analog sticks interactive, and added the ability to test Gamecube controllers plugged into any of the ports (by pressing Start on each controller).

0.03 = Analog triggers now interactive, and all buttons provide better visual feedback.

0.9 = Added in everything but the kitchen sink (but if I had a kitchen sink wii attachment for Cooking Mama, I'd add that too). You should be able to test just about everything now, on any port, including the tap/slide bar on some guitars and the analog shoulder buttons on an original Classic Controller. Oh, you can even test the Power button on your wiimote by holding it down for 3 seconds.

0.91 = Added in a visual cursor so you can test the Wiimote InfraRed pointer now.

[Wii] Newo Sky v1.0[Edit]

Posté par: Cid2Mizard

Owen propose la version 1.0 de "Newo Sky", simulateur de paysage généré de manière procédurale pour la nintendo Wii.

Newo Sky is a procedurally generated landscape demo/walking simulator. First released for the GBAtemp Bounty 2017 #1. In memory of Ben “bushing” Byer, who passed away on Monday, February 8th, 2016.

The project is roughly 2 years of tinkering around with simplex noise and watching tonnes of videos related to procedural generation. It runs well most of the time but I have yet to add collision or any sort of gameyness to it because just the simple act of getting the procgen working was a hair pulling activity for me.

If you want to see more screenshots drop me a email - I have tonnes. Too bad they max out at 640x430. Hopefully this project inspires someone and people find it entertaining if even just for a little bit.

Procedurally generated landscape and planet map
randomize colour option
Auto walk and Auto Planet
Lowpoly environment with lakes, rain, trees, buildings, rocks, grass, orbiting planets, stars and solar systems.
Background music: "Like Clockwork" by Birds of Paradise

How to play

With the Wiimote horizontally. Dpad moves, 1 shows the planet selection screen and 2 randomizes the colours of the current planet. In the planet selection screen the Dpad allows you to move a cursor that selects another planet once it comes in contact. Press 1 again to exit the planet select menu. The + button brings up the game menu option.

All controls work for first player only. Wiimote horizontal.

[Wii] wii88 v0.1.1[Edit]

Posté par: Cid2Mizard

jpzm propose la version 0.1.1 de "wii88", portage de l"emulateur NEC PC-8801 "QUASI88" pour la nintendo Wii.

About wii88

This project is a fork from QUASI88 version 0.6.4, a NEC PC-8801 emulator by Showzoh Fukunaga. Specifically, the source quasi88-0.6.4.tgz (md5sum '21d268aaa290471f60142fea49485010'). The main purpose of this fork is to be used with Nintendo Wii. We also used for reference the QUASI88 Wii port version 0.6.3 beta6 by Rako.

For public releases, please check the releases page. For the latest development version, you may clone the master branch with the below command.

$ git clone

The content of the repository folder hbc has the files of the latest compiled version.

In order to setup the port, you have to:

copy the content of the download release (or the hbc repository folder) to your SD/SDHC card.
copy system roms files to sd:/wii88/rom directory.
copy game roms files to sd:/wii88/disk directory.

The emulation performace is better with original NEC PC8801 roms, but you can also use the pseudo BIOS available here.

When pointed to the screen, it is possible to use the Wii Remote to control the emulator options. You can use the Wii Remote as a mouse cursor. To open the menu, press the Wii Remote plus button (mapped to F12 key). The Wii Remote minus button could be used to exit the menu (mapped to ESC key). To select a game image, go to the DISK tab, select the game disk file (.d88), and push the OK. Finally, go to the RESET tab, select the according BASIC MODE for your game, and push the RESET button.

On release 0.1.1, it is possible to change button mappings and/or create independent mappings for each game image. See hbc/wii88/rc/default.rc and src/keyboard.h for guidance. For example, if there is a image file named Game.d88 in disk directory and a mapping file named Game.d88.rc in the rc directory, the custom key mappings are loaded from Game.d88.rc. Otherwise, the mapping from default.rc file is used.

[Wii] XRoar Wii v0.2[Edit]

Posté par: Cid2Mizard

Wiimpathy propose la version 0.2 de "XRoar Wii", portage de "XRoar", émulateur Tandy CoCo/Dragon32 pour la nintendo Wii.

XRoar Wii 0.2

XRoar is a Tandy Color Computer('CoCo') and Dragon32/64 emulator. CoCo model 3 is not supported.

The firmware ROM files in /apps/xroar are essential. If the emulator starts with a screen full of @, it means that it failed to find the files.
Refer to the manual(xroar.pdf), chapter 6 for more information on these files.

To load a program, open the main menu, chose 'Load File' and select the file. It will try to start the file automatically if 'autorun' is enabled(by default).
If it doesn't start, here are the general commands :

- Disks(.vdk, .dsk) : Type[Enter] to list the files and see the executable. For Dragon, type RUN"FILE.BAS" or RUN"FILE.BIN".

- Tapes(.cas) : Type CLOADM:EXEC (machine code) or CLOAD:RUN (Basic). Dos emulation must be disabled.

- Cartridges(.rom, .bin, .ccc) : they should all autorun, if it doesn't run, the file isn't supported.

Before loading another game, you may need ro reset the machine and/or toggle DOS emulation.
Sometimes, a software needs specific commands to start. Consult the game manual.

There are 3 modes : Right joystick(default), Left Joystick, keyboard arrows. Cycle through these modes with Wiimote/Classic + button or GameCube Z.

CoCo and Dragon have two joysticks ports(left and right) and most games use them. By default, the first Wiimote/GameCube controller is the right joystick.
Depending on the software, the first player may be the right or left joystick. In joystick mode, A/2 button is Coco/Dragon 'fire button'.
If a game doesn't support joystick, you may switch to 'keyboard' mode. In this mode the dpad/stick emulates the Coco arrow keys, and A button is key Space.
Other keys are mapped to Wii buttons (can be reconfigured in the virtual keyboard) :

* [1] = Wiimote button 1 / GameCube button X
* [Y] = Wiimote/Classic/GC Y
* [Enter] = Wiimote/Classic/GC B
* [Space] = Wiimote/Classic/GC A (Joystick mode)
* Fire Button = Wiimote/Classic/GC button A (Keyboard mode)

Note that the Wiimote pointer emulates the CoCo/Dragon mouse.(rarely useful).

In the settings menu, you will find two options to adjust the sticks and dpad.

- Joy sensitivity : if the stick isn't responding well, try to toggle this option.

- Dpad delay : It's 'off' by default, and should stay like this in most cases. When set to 'on', it tries to simulate a stick, it sends a
continuous press by small range. It can be useful for mouse based software, or games like Arkanoid.

Here are the menu controls and special buttons used in-game.

A/2 : Confirm
B/1 : Back
- : Open virtual keyboard
+ : Select joystick mode/toggle option
Home : Open main menu/help

Classic controller:

A : Confirm
B : Back
- : Open virtual keyboard
+ : Select joystick mode/toggle option
Home : Open main menu/help

GameCube controller:

A : Confirm
B : Back
L : Toggle option
Z : Select joystick mode
Start : Open main menu/help

Open it with Wiimote/Classic - or GC pad L button. Select the key(s) with the Wiimote pointer, or dpad/stick and push 'Done'.
Sometimes, the key isn't sent correctly, it may be better to bind it in this case.
You can bind a key to most buttons. Select the key with the dpad and press + to open the mapper. From there, press the desired button.

The option -joy-left from XRoar Wii v0.1 when used as a plugin argument has no effect now. The joysticks are handled differently, the first found Wii controller will always be
the right Coco/Dragon joystick at startup.

- When a rom file (.ccc, .rom) is launched, it's replacing the DOS cartridge. You can re-enable DOS in the settings menu. However, most of the time, even after
a reset, the emulator is stuck on a green screen. You'll have to load a DOS rom manually or just quit...

- Saving a snapshot on a USB device takes a long time.

- The key pressed on the virtual keyboard isn't always sent correctly.

- For text based software, use an usb keyboard.

[Wii] SDLTRS Wii v0.2[Edit]

Posté par: Cid2Mizard

Wiimpathy propose la version 0.2 de "SDLTRS Wii", portage de SDLTRS, émulateur Radio Shack TRS-80 pour la nintendo Wii.

This is a port of SDLTRS, a Radio Shack TRS-80 emulator.
The emulator requires a ROM file called level2.rom.
A system file disk (NewDos/80) called newdos80.dsk in the disks folder is also needed (not always though).
It must be inserted in disk 0 slot. This is launched by default in trs80.ini.
The games in .dsk, copied in /roms/trs80/disks are launched from disk 1.

The emulator can be used as a plugin or as a standalone homebrew.

Wiimote/Classic controller

A : Space
B : Break
1/Y : 1
Home : Main menu
+ : Enter
- : Clear

GameCube controller

A : Space
B : Break
X : 1
Start : Main menu
R : Enter
Z : Clear

From the main menu, you can access the virtual keyboard. You can send a key or a few commands ,like 'DIR' or BASIC'.
You can also bind buttons to TRS80 key or commands. Open the main menu, go to 'GUI', 'Joystick settings' and 'Map Joystick...'.
An usb keyboard is still highly recommended for the text based softwares and to type commands.

- Once in NewDos, type "dir" to list the directory in disk 1.
- If it has a cmd extension, just type the name of the file you want to start followed by [Enter].
- If it has a bas extension, type BASIC and RUN"filename/bas"[Enter].

Some games can't be started with the previous method. They have to be started without NewDos, inserted in disk0 and may
need another model. The arguments plugin .ini has to be modified.
For example : -model3|-disk0|{device}:/{path}/{name}

An alternative to start every games, without typing a command everytime, is to use savestates.
Off course, the game has to be launched once, and saved from the emulator's menu. The trs80.ini file will be like this:

Cassette are supported but takes ages to load. They can't load with NewDos. The argument for the plugin would be :
The romdir and filetypes must be changed too.

[Wii] Hermes Wii v0.90[Edit]

Posté par: Cid2Mizard

oibaf propose la version 0.90 de "Hermes Wii", portage du Jump'N run "Hermes" de la Team Retroguru pour la nintendo Wii.

Hermes is an extraordinary Jump'n Run game covering bad taste humour. If you feel offended by crude and dirty humour you may run away now. The game also features pixel violence and promotes the consumption of meat. If you are a hardcore vegetarian, you might very much dislike the game or just have a good laugh.

Hermes, at least this is how his friends call him, is living in France, the country of love, but also the country known for it's exquisite cuisine. One day Hermes had mood for a nice chicken leg, certainly a real men like Hermes, won't go to the super market and get pre-packed chicken, no... it has to be a real one, slaughtered off by his own hand. This is, where our story starts...

Chase the escaped chicken to catch it and prepare a great grilled leg piece you ever wont forget! Yummi! But hell... that chicken for sure is fast!
Hermes Features

* Hand set pixels!
* Amiga chiptunes!
* Score tracking!
* 32 levels!
* Hidden warp zones!
* Boss fight!

[Wii] EasyRPG Player v0.5.1[Edit]

Posté par: Cid2Mizard

La EasyRPG Player Team propose, la version 0.5.1 de "EasyRPG Player", moteur de jeux RPG Maker 2000/2003 pour la Nintendo Wii.

The Wii version finally supports automatic encoding detection through the ICU library. The Wii version was the only one that lacked ICU, due to the CPU of the Wii which is a PowerPC. PowerPC is “Big endian” and most other platforms (like PC or Android) are “Little Endian”. The endianess influences how bytes are stored, e.g. Big stores as AA BB CC DD and Little as DD CC BB AA, so you have to swap the data (we do this when reading LDB and other files). To compile for Wii we “cross compile”, that means we use a compiler on our PC, that generates PowerPC code for the Wii (that’s faster and more convenient), but ICU doesn’t support mixed endian builds (because their build system involves running some tools on the PC which don’t support byte swapping). But we were finally able to find the bug in the ICU build system and now have a working version for the Wii (#1095).

Release date: 2017-04-09. Release notes, changes since 0.5.0: Player, liblcf.
